All of my work
is for indoor display only - this simplifies things. Everything
I made between
1995 and 2001 is with unprinted newsprint, and is,
therefore, very susceptible to yellowing. This was intentional,
because I like the color.
I believe these
pieces have discolored as far as they will, but would still hesitate
to display them in direct sunlight for long. Since they are coated
with acrylic (a plastic coating), they can be cleaned with a sponge
and mild detergent.
The paper on
my latest piece, "Bedizen," is tracing paper and I did
not coat it with acrylic. It has a nice, matte finish, which I like,
but is susceptible to water staining. It must be kept dry.
